Join us for Teaching Africa Day: “Dancing the Message – African Dance as a Language of the Continent and the Diaspora.” Teaching Africa Day provides a platform for educators, families, and the DMV community to showcase books, films, games, programs, and other resources on Africa and its rich and vibrant heritage in one place.

 

Through a panel discussion, dance performances and workshops, an educational resources marketplace, and artmaking workshops, Teaching Africa Day offers diverse narratives to teach, engage, and increase students’ appreciation for the arts of Africa.
